PTC-PREC Goal
 
  • Determining the characteristics of the accident, the potential risk factors involved in the accident, and the consequences of the accident in terms of human, road and vehicle dimensions
  • Development of tools that do not currently exist in the field of traffic safety, such as Child road Safety
 
 
PTC-PREC Objectives
 
  • Estimation of death rate, injury incidence, severity of injury, disability, damage caused by traffic accidents (In three denominator of: populations, number of vehicles and mileage*), determination of prevalence of accident risk factors, and related factors, evaluation of prevalence estimating methods.
  • Causal inferences among possible risk factors and related outcomes in both pre-crash and post-crash phases
  • Trend of risk factors and outcomes changes in the population of cohort over time.
  • Providing programs and solutions to reduce the risk of traffic accidents, violations in short-, medium- and long-term follow-up.
